Just a small update on game progress!

Progress is going smoothly, although it is quite slow. Post processing the voices is looooong and tedious, working with them one-by-one, and having so many WAV files to sort through and process. And I do have some redos that I’m waiting on and that’s going to slow down progress a bit. Tedious, yes, but it’s worth it 🙂

Lines Processed:

  • Anna: 100%
  • Mikaela: 99% – just need that single redo from VA!
  • Tristina: ~50-60% – currently working on her lines
  • Aurelia: 0% – not processed yet, waiting for redos / rest of lines
  • Julia: 0% – not processed yet, waiting for redos / rest of lines
  • Ryne: 0% – not processed yet, although I received all the lines (his lines are going to be very very tedious to sort out)

After I get all the lines processed:

  • Program them all into the game
  • Commission a promo video, maybe. I do have lines recorded already for this though
  • Debug
  • Am I missing something…?

And afterwards, I’m going to take most of the critiques I received from the demo project and apply it. I’ve made a list of what I’m going to change / add / remove. Thanks to those who played the demo and gave me critique, they are immensely useful.

A Cafe Memoria expansion pack? It’s possible!

Progress Estimates

  • Script – 100%
  • Character art – 100%
  • Music – 95% (need to tweak stuff)
  • Programming – ~75% (testing, and need to add in the voices)
  • Voices – ~66% (waiting on the last bits of recordings, as well as post-processing)

I’m going to have to push the release date further back, to around early 2015 (tentative). I might have said Fall 2014, but as I said post-processing these voice files is long and tedious (and need to do other things as well)!
