New colored Julia pose!

How exciting! Here is a finished colored base figure of character (NSFW) Julia. It took a while but through some searching on the internet and help from my brother I learned much about drawing anime style. I never knew I could create something like this. Especially since I believed shading would be my weakest point. I’m actually having a lot of fun as we go a long this process and improving in my art abilities…as far as using Bamboo tools and Sai :p Currently I’m working on Mikaela’s coloring. Should be done sometime next week since I may be busy for the fourth of July.
Let me know what you think. I really appreciate any ideas or comments.

If this is the first attempt you’ve had at anime, let me tell you you did a very good job ^^
I’d suggest polishing some parts of her body that look a bit off, like her butt, her elbow and her breasts.

Deji- Thank you for your comment 🙂 Yes this is my first attempt to creating anime using a tablet; I’ve only sketched anime on drawing paper, and stayed away from coloring them in since I think I’m horrible at shading!
When my brother presented this project to me, he introduced me to a whole different level of creating anime. Since Ryne developed the idea of creating a visual novel, he is very particular in how his characters should appear. With his help, I learned to pay attention to the details that really make the artwork come to life. Some techniques, of course not so easy…
I looked at your profile and enjoyed each of your artwork. Especially the Dorothy and Toto XD You also have the skill for shading and knowing where and how the light should hit objects.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I will definitely test out editing her body some more and see what I come up with!

Her butt needs to stream into the thighs more smoothly, and the nipples aren’t shaped right, but otherwise this is probably the most amazing piece of work I’ve seen from you yet! Beautiful shading on the hair!
Julia and Anna are my current favorites, by the way. ; P

Yummisnow- Yes, As I was coloring in Julia I began to notice some parts of her body that didn’t quite stood out right. I’m still learning just how the anatomy should look with certain poses; I look up by googling feet for example, which are the somewhat annoying for me to do. That and legs! Anyway, I will definitely try improving on her figure when I can. Like streaming the line from her butt to her thigh like you said. haha My brother said it looked fine, but it doesn’t hurt to try! Well, back to coloring Mikaela..oh and Anna will be next 😉
